All LAUSD schools and offices will be CLOSED on Friday January 10, 2025.
More meal distribution sites have opened to support our students and their families:
Meal Distribution:
From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Jan. 9, Los Angeles Unified will open eight sites to provide meals for students. District families may stop by and walk into any of these locations to receive two meals per student. This will only be available for Los Angeles Unified students.

North: Mulholland Middle School, Sepulveda Middle School, San Fernando Middle School, Richard E. Byrd Middle School

East: Hollenbeck Middle School, South Gate High School, Los Angeles Academy Middle School, John H. Liechty Middle School
- West: Marina Del Rey Middle School, Sonia Sotomayor Arts and Sciences and Magnet, Berendo Middle School, Fairfax High School

South: Fremont High School, Harry Bridges Span School, Edwin Markham Middle School, Barack Obama Global Preparation Academy

- Fremont High School (7676 San Pedro St, Los Angeles, CA 90003) is a campus close to Mann UCLA Community School offering meal distribution.
- Barack Obama Global Prep Academy (1700 W 46th St, Los Angeles, CA 90062) is a campus close to Mann UCLA Community School offering meal distribution.
All other resources listed below continue to be available.
Updates for Thursday, January 9, 2025
At 5:00 PM on January 8, 2025 LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho announced that all LAUSD schools will be CLOSED on January 9, 2025.
Meal Distribution:
From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Jan. 9, Los Angeles Unified will open eight sites to provide meals for students. District families may stop by and walk into any of these locations to receive two meals per student. This will only be available for Los Angeles Unified students.
○ North: Mulholland Middle School, Sepulveda Middle School
○ East: Hollenbeck Middle School, South Gate High School
○ South: Harry Bridges Span School, Fremont High School (7676 San Pedro St, Los Angeles, CA 90003) is the closest campus offering meal distribution to Mann UCLA Community School.
○ West: Marina Del Rey Middle School, Sonia Sotomayor Arts and Sciences and Magnet
The District will continue assessing the situation over the next 24 hours while preparing for the possibility of online learning on Friday, Jan. 10. A decision about Friday, Jan. 10 will be announced by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Mental Health Support Services:
Los Angeles Unified students and families in need of mental health support are encouraged to call our Student and Family Wellness Resource Line at 213-241-3840. Support is currently available between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees may access Employee Assistance Service for Education (EASE) by visiting https://www.lausd.org/domain/1438 or calling the 24/7 support line at 800-882-1341.

Students were dismissed at 1:35 on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. All sports practices and games were cancelled. All Physical Education (PE) classes were moved inside.
