A Message From Your School Counselor

Greetings Families

I am excited to be the counselor at Mann UCLA Community School and I am excited to work with you and your child through this part of their academic journey.

I am a proud product of LAUSD. Attending Baldwin Hills Elementary, Emerson Jr. High and graduating from Palisades High School.

I received my Bachelor and first Masters degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I received my Pupil Personnel Services Credential from California State University Dominguez Hills and a Masters and Administrative Credential from California State University Northridge.

I believe my main job is to help prepare students to become their best self while becoming college and career ready. My philosophy is all children have the ability to learn if they are given the right environment, resources and the support to do so.

In my off time I enjoy serving God, reading, going to the beach and spending time with my family.

-Ms. Lydia, School Guidance Counselor
